Emma Raducanu advanced to round three in three of the four Grand Slams this year.

Britain's Emma Raducanu has withdrawn from the last two tournaments of the year as a result of a medical condition she has been battling over the past 10 days.

Raducanu, aged 22 was scheduled to compete in events in Asia but opted to return home to recover ahead of launching next year's training.

These plans will include her coach Francisco Roig, as they have agreed to work together in 2026.

She had her blood pressure taken while playing the initial match against Ann Li in Wuhan last week and retired when losing 6-1 4-1 on a very muggy occasion.

She needed once more a visit from the doctor at the Ningbo Open this week, where she lost in three sets to Zhu Lin, a Chinese wildcard in the opening round.

Her movement was far from freely in the third set versus Zhu due to the lower back problem that has troubled her at times this year.

These outcomes signaled a promising season, in which she climbed into the world's top 30 after a long gap since her previous ranking, finished with a trio of defeats.

She held three match points then was defeated by American player Jessica Pegula in the third round in last month's Beijing event.

She secured 28 matches in the current season and advanced to the semis in the Washington tournament, but her most impressive week was at March's Miami Open.

As Britain's top player made the last eight of the WTA 1000 event, beating eighth seed Emma Navarro on the way prior to a loss in a three-set match to the world number four Pegula.

She was coached by Mark Petchey between Miami and Wimbledon, with Roig assuming the role for the US Open.

The initial agreement with Rafael Nadal's former coach was for the remainder of the year but they will keep working together, with planned training sessions for the end of the year.

The athlete revealed that her three-day trial with Roig after Wimbledon was like a "covert operation" as they tried to keep the meeting secret.

She nearly succeeded to overcoming Sabalenka, the world number one at their first tournament together in Cincinnati in August.

Roig joined her in the New York tournament, where she reached the third round then falling to 2022 Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina.
